Can’t sleep? Insomnia? This guided meditation can help
I was tossing and turning, staring wide-eyed into the darkness as cyclones of worry ripped through my thoughts.
As the clock ticked into the night, I felt angry and frustrated that insomnia and anxiety were robbing me of sleep that would leave me drained and foggy the next day.
I urgently needed to quiet my mind, calm my body, and slip into peaceful sleep!
The culprit was probably that my body was changing in a dramatic way, causing this common symptom of insomnia during menopause.
Thankfully, I’m among the 15% of women—according to the National Institutes of Health—who experience few or no hot flashes and all the things that can happen as a woman enjoys this extremely liberating new phase of life.
But back then in 2019, as I dealt with insomnia for the first time, I was so frustrated!
So I tapped into my GoddessPower—the infinite divine feminine energy within—and composed a prayerful meditation called “Fall Asleep with the Angels.”
Then I recorded the meditation on my phone.
I listened to it every night, and it helped me fall asleep.
Now I’m sharing it with YOU to help YOU achieve the serene sleep that always follows listening to this guided meditation to fall asleep with the angels.
The meditation was inspired by my spiritual awakening that started in 2010 and led me to write and publish my memoir, God’s Answer is Know: Lessons from a Spiritual Life by Elizabeth Ann Atkins.
In this book, you’ll read about my very close relationship with the divine.
I also have an unshakable belief in the power of angels and Spirit to comfort us and guide us away from anxiety and fear, into peace and knowing that Spirit is always here to protect and pamper our minds, bodies and spirits.
So, this recorded guided meditation helped me sleep so peacefully that I decided to share it with the world.
