3 Ways to Treat Yourself Like the Goddess That You Are. Every day!

Are you enjoying your life?

Do you have little moments throughout the day that make you feel happy?

You deserve to feel happy, fulfilled and impactful.

Those are all key components of Goddess Power Life, the mindset behind my podcast, The Goddess Power Show with Elizabeth Ann Atkins®. My mission is to explore provocative topics that help YOU live bigger, better and bolder.

Goddess Power Life means transforming your pain into power, working hard every day to believe in yourself, to never give up, to cultivate your confidence and courage to be and do all that your heart desires.

You can do this through routines and rituals that help shift your mindset and your momentum so that you are steadily moving toward your best you and your best life. Keep reading to learn 3 things you can do every day to treat yourself like the Goddess that you are.

And it’s fine to start small.

Even if you have a super busy life with kids, a career, a partner or spouse, a house, pets, aging parents, a workout regimen, and all the things that consume are days at warp speed… you can still take little moments to pamper yourself. They all add up to something bigger, which is a happier you.

I’m speaking from experience, especially today.

I have had the best time all by myself, putting the finishing touches on the 36th book we will publish at the company I co-founded with my sister, Two Sisters Writing & Publishing. I also went to the gym and had a great workout. Then I went grocery shopping and stocked up on all my favorite vegetables and herbs. I made a giant salad which I savored with delicious spicy salmon for dinner.

And I loved every moment.

Feeling grateful for all of the above enhances every moment.

At the gym, being thankful for the drive and discipline to get up and go workout despite the snow and cold weather.

While shopping, feeling grateful that I can purchase what I want.

At home working, appreciating that our company enables me to share my writing and publishing skills to bring diverse, inspiring voices into the world on the pages of the books we publish.

Gratitude is the secret sauce that sweetens every moment, and is a key tenet of Goddess Power Life.

So here are 3 things you can do every day to treat yourself like the Goddess that you are.

ONE

Write down how you want to think and live as your ultimate Goddess Power Life. Describe it in detail, such as: “I have the courage and confidence to take aggressive action every day to achieve the goals I have written out in clear language with an action plan to achieve them.” Also describe what that looks like, for example: “I live in a beachside home where my office overlooks the ocean while I write bestselling books.” And, “I enjoy each day with a partner who respects and celebrates me and loves me beyond measure.”

Then record this description of your Goddess Power Life on your phone, and listen to it in the morning and in the evening, and during the day if possible. This will help to reprogram your mind and put you on autopilot to create the mindset and lifestyle you describe.

TWO

Pamper yourself by:

  • eating your favorite healthy foods;

  • creating a bedroom sanctuary with the sheets, blankets and pillows that you love;

  • silencing your inner critic by reciting a mantra such as “I am enough” and “I am worthy of pleasure and joy;”

  • pursuing hobbies and entrepreneurial endeavors that you love and that can prosper you;

  • working to identify, heal and release any anger, guilt, resentment, pain and trauma;

  • setting and enforcing boundaries about what and whom you do and don’t want in your life, and how you expect to be treated;

  • staying in a state of gratitude for even the smallest things each moment, such as a fresh breath of air or a refreshing glass of water and the ability to use your physical body, having heat and hot water, food to eat, a car to drive, a warm safe place to sleep at night, etc.

  • creating a bedtime routine that helps you relax and fall into a peaceful sleep, that can include: taking a shower or bath, creating soft lighting in your bedroom, reading, journaling about your day and writing about 5 things you’re grateful for, drinking camomile tea, misting your pillow with lavender essential oil, meditating and praying, and keeping the room the most comfortable temperature for your best sleep.

  • making pleasure a priority.

THREE

Get still and quiet every day for at least a few minutes for contemplation, reflection, and meditation. Learn techniques on how to meditate and clear your energy to release negativity that can exacerbate stress and even cause illness.
